SEAL for Navy is an outreach program funded by the US Office of Naval Research (ONR) to promote K-12 student exploration in STEM fields. The program, which is a partnership between University of Tennessee Tickle College of Engineering (TCE), university of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI), and Tennessee 4-H Youth Development (4-H) provides financial scholarships to students that meet the following criteria at the time of their college enrollment:
- Admitted to the Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee
- Have participated in several SEAL for Navy Events
SEAL for Navy Events
- Middle School
- STEMology Camp
- GAMES STEM Camp (Summer 2023)
- 4-H Junior High Academic Conference
- 4-H Electric Camp
- High School
When you participate in any of our activities, you will receive a SEAL Challenge Coin. Collecting at least 3 coins guarantees you a scholarship to Tickle College of Engineering. While at TCE, you will be assigned a SEAL mentor to guide you along your path to becoming an engineer.
