TCE Represented at Annual Conference
The duo presented information about the college’s outreach initiatives, specifically the One UT, 1000s of STEMs grant, and shared an outreach activity.
Summer STEM Quest
The two programs for elementary and middle school students are self-paced and require participants to complete four engineering design challenges and submit their results. The offerings for high school students are virtual programs that include a Canvas course and Zoom meetings and run from July 19–30.
TCE Hosts STEM Night for Local Schools
From learning about Newton’s second law by creating a water engine to playing with balls to learn about momentum, students were exposed to a wide range of topics.

Free CNC Machining Training Program Being Offered
ICAMI-The Composites Institute is offering a new computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining training program starting this spring with an online component and in-person bootcamp-style training at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville.
EF 327 Contributes to STEM Sparks
Designed to help spark elementary students’ interest in STEM, TCE students created engineering-related projects that could be accomplished with household items. Videos included building a hovercraft with a balloon and building a lava lamp with a water bottle.
